It would have been enough.
"It is enough that Jesus died, and that He died for me."
Happy Passover!
But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

Spring fever
Here I go catching up again.
Spring needs to catch up too. Seriously, I haven't really minded winter that much this year but it's time for it to be over.
Little Miss got to go to the farm while we went to communion. And she got to go to birthday parties. She has been talking about the puppy non-stop.
Bob and I finally started to fix my bench that broke the first time I sat on it last fall (It's a cheap bench! I promise I'm not that fat!).
Our potluck was carnival themed- we had lemonade shake ups, homemade corn dogs, salad-on-a-stick, hot pretzels, fried veggies, bloomin' onions, french fries, caramel apples, and funnel cakes. Yeah. So good, but not healthy at all.
My caramel apples were kind of an epic fail. I burned the first batch of caramel and I didn't have any extra ingredients sooo... I used a recipe that's good for dip and it mostly just slid off the apples. And all the toppings fell off. So I ended up spooning it back on and they were not very pretty. O well. they tasted good.
Elise had the Washington girls for brunch and it was so good to see all of them and catch up.
Clayton invited himself over last night... Cecily was not so sure about him and kept saying "bye-bye." Haha. But then he helped her with a puzzle and they were best friends.
And... snow. ugh.
This picture was taken exactly one year ago: *sigh*
This is also the time of year that I miss U of I so much... campus, old friendships, the people... I need to go visit.Blessings.

Mini-cation
Happy Pi Day! I have eaten two pieces of pie (from apples of gold) so far today.
Somebody thinks her tutu is pretty cool now. Haha.
I'm not even sure what we've been up too. Not much, and a whole lot. *grin* Between Bob having to go up to Joliet for work a lot and starting training for a different position at work, he's been gone a lot and so that affects what little miss and I do.
Cecily and I went to the farm on Saturday to see Aunt Shelly and Uncle Jakey and Grandpa & Grandma and the woof-woof. She's quite fond of Gus, although March on the farm is not the best time to play with a farm dog. Mud. It's everywhere. We did go out in it a little bit and Little miss went straight for the puddles. She gets it honest. *grin*
On Monday Bob called from work and asked if I wanted to go to a hotel for a night since he took the whole day off on Tuesday.... hmm... of course! So we ended up at Stoney Creek Inn a few hours later. I forgot that they have stuffed animals in the rooms.... someone was pretty sure she needed this beaver... we hid it later so we didn't have to pay $20 for it.
We took her swimming in the pool, which she mostly loved. She was a little bit more afraid than last summer and she didn't last very long. She kept sticking her face in and she didn't like that at all. I didn't bring the pack-n-play so we had a little bit of a time getting her to sleep. O well.
She did enjoy breakfast in bed and cartoons.... haha. Little stinker...
I've been confused on what day it is ever since. Not that that's anything new.
And here is a long video for the grandma's- little miss wandering around in my sandals.

Winter happenings
Somebody thinks she's big stuff because she can climb to the top step of the stepladder... makes it a little hard for me to use it too.
First tape...
Then plaster...
Short break to rescue little miss from who hasn't figured out how to climb down.
... And, fresh paint! I painted it and it was immediately obvious that my plaster job was terrible. So I added more plaster and smoothed it really well with a wet sponge and it looked much better after paint the second time. Anyway, it's done! Hooray! It's so bright in there! And prettier (hehe- when the shades are in and all of the bulbs).
We ended up having a pretty busy weekend again. Friday evening was Bob's cousin Sheila and Josh's wedding. Little miss had fun at the farm while we were gone. It was a nice wedding, but I think the highlight for me was seeing Sanford and Barb again. They're just cool people (and the parents of three of my High School friends).
So the last time I was at the farm I raided Great Grandpa Wyss's trunk and stole (ok, I asked nicely) a picture of his regiment. It's huge- 42 inches long! Custom framing would have been crazy expensive so I got some picture molding and made and stained the frame. The nice ladies at Hobby Lobby cut the Plexiglas for me and put in those little black metal things that hold everything in.
Now Dad or Grandpa needs to come over and figure out which one he is. *grin*
Sprout was home for the wedding so we spent Saturday afternoon and evening at Bob's parent's playing in the snow. Cecily had a great time sledding and watching the dog.
We actually had people for supper on Sunday. Dale and Meg and their girls and Kevin came over. It was fun. Kevin brought his Japan pictures and the girls played.
This is little miss discovering how much fun standing over a heat register with a dress on is. I made it for her from a pillowcase from Great-Grandma Koch.
I'm ready for winter to be over now. Even if the snow is pretty.
Blessings.
