Little miss and I have been busy the last few days. On Thursday we went down to Champaign to visit. We met Aunt She-yee at Za's for lunch. It was so good as always. Then we went back to Shelly's apartment and Cecily had a great time playing on the window seat. This picture makes me laugh... I'm pretty sure there's a picture of me a little bit older with this exact same stance and expression.
We went for a walk to the quad. She was pretty sure she needed to explore and find sticks. It was a little chilly, but still pretty with all the trees blooming. And Urbana is so refreshingly lush and green. I miss it.
Then we headed to Follett's and got new t-shirts- Cecily's shirts are getting too small and mine are getting worn out. Plus, Follett's is going out of business. (Sad News! It was always one of our stops when Dad dragged us to the ACES open house.)
And the Morrow Plots of Illinois are best! No you can't throw shade on the corn, Naw! *ahem* Sorry. I'll stop now. But we did have to get a picture.
We went back to Shelly's apartment and she made us bars and we introduced her to Baby Einstein... then Cecily and I headed to Sarah and Amber's. Cecily fell asleep in the car on the way there so Sarah and Ryan (they're engaged! yay! it makes me smile a lot!) ate BDubs in relative quiet until she woke up. Amber got home later so we didn't get to spend much time with her before they had to leave for the evening and Little Miss and I went home.
She must have had a good time because she talked all the way home.
Friday was our anniversary and it started off bright and early with a meeting with the guy who's going to fix our bowing basement wall. Our garage door opener decided to quit working. *eesh* Hooray for more things that need fixing. Our garden finally got tilled, but not all the way planted.
We left Cecily at Rustin and Sharon's that evening and went out to eat at Seven on Prospect. So good. I ate waaay too much. Bob got duck wings for an appetizer- they were really good, but they came with pickled green beans which were really strange. I got seafood bisque which was amazing, and mushroom stuffed ravioli with asparagus and sun dried tomato sauce. It was incredible. I was too full to eat it all and the leftovers were just as yummy today. Anyway. It's kind of pricey so it's definitely not a restaurant we frequent often... *grin* We went to Grand Prairie briefly and then got Cold Stone before we picked up Little Miss who was not ready to go home at all.
Cecily and I went garage saling in the morning today, and I helped Kelly clean an apartment in the afternoon. After walking around town for two hours and scrubbing a dirty kitchen for a few more, I'm beat. Kind of like this little girly who insists on napping like this. Hehe. Whatever, at least she's napping.
Blessings.
